If you registered your domain at another provider (like Domains.co.za, GoDaddy, or anywhere else), you need to update your DNS to point it at HostGridPro™ servers. There are two methods.
The simplest method. Log in to wherever you bought your domain and find the DNS / Nameserver settings. Replace the current nameservers with:
Save the changes. This tells the internet to use HostGridPro™ DNS for everything on your domain including the website, email and subdomains.
If you want to keep DNS at your current registrar but point just the website, update the A Record for your domain to the HostGridPro™ server IP. You will find your server IP in your welcome email or client portal.
If you want email hosted at HostGridPro™ too, you also need to update your MX records. WhatsApp us your domain name and we will send you the exact MX values to add at your registrar.
After saving DNS changes, propagation takes 15 minutes to 48 hours globally. During this window, some visitors may still see the old site. This is completely normal.
You can check propagation status at whatsmydns.net — type your domain, select A record, and see what DNS servers worldwide are resolving it to.
Once propagation is complete, visiting your domain should show your HostGridPro™-hosted site with a padlock (SSL). If the padlock does not appear, give it a few more hours or enable SSL manually in HestiaCP.
