Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose
This policy defines what you may and may not do with HostGridPro infrastructure. Violations may result in immediate suspension without refund.
2. Prohibited Content
- Content illegal under South African law.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — reported immediately to law enforcement.
- Content infringing copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property rights.
- Defamatory, threatening or harassing content.
- Malware, viruses, ransomware, spyware or malicious code of any kind.
- Phishing pages or fraudulent content designed to deceive users.
3. Prohibited Activities
- Spam: Sending unsolicited bulk email is strictly prohibited.
- Network attacks: DDoS attacks, port scanning, or brute-force attacks against any host.
- Resource abuse: Cryptocurrency miners, torrents, or processes that excessively consume CPU, RAM or bandwidth.
- Hacking tools: Hosting exploit kits or cracking tools.
- Open proxies: Running open mail relays or anonymous proxy servers.
- Piracy: Hosting pirated software, films, music or copyrighted content.
4. Email Rules
All bulk email must comply with South African Electronic Communications legislation. You must have recipient consent, provide an unsubscribe mechanism and include a physical address.
5. Fair Use
Shared hosting is subject to fair use. No single account may consistently consume more than 25% of server CPU or RAM. Accounts exceeding fair use will be asked to upgrade or optimise.
6. Enforcement
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts in violation of this AUP without prior notice or refund. We cooperate with law enforcement as required by South African law.
